Von wellx is moving its manufacturing from China to India.

The Germany-based manufacturer is moving its production from China to India. The project can create thousands of jobs in the Uttar Pradesh region Germany-based healthy footwear brand Von Wellx, owned by Casa Everz Gmbh, will be relocating its entire production from China to India, several Indian news platforms are reporting. According to the reports, Von Wellx will manufacture at Agra in Uttar Pradesh in partnership with Iatric Industries Pvt Ltd., which can generate roughly 10,000 direct and indirect jobs. “We are very happy to see that investment from Casa Everz Gmbh, which will be giving employment to so many people, is coming to India from China and especially to Uttar Pradesh”, commented Uttar Pradesh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises’ Minister Uday Bahan Singh. India: leather industry asks the Government for relif to the industry

Aqeel Ahmed Panaruna, Chairman of the Council for Leather Exports (CLE), underlined that export orders with a total value of 1 billion US dollars have been unilaterally cancelled so far since the 17th of March. The same source is indicating that during the month of March, leather exports declined by 32% due to the Covid-19 pandemic. "In April we are expecting only 5% to 10% of exports. In May-June we are expecting only 50% of business, provided we exit from the lockdown. China, Vietnam and Bangladesh are now running their production at full capacities", Aqeel stated, as reported by several news media in the country. "Lockdown exit plan for exporters after the 17th of May is important to avoid further cancellation and possible shifting of orders to China, Vietnam and South East Asian countries", he concluded.
